by VOD Cars (Picture ) Nothing like a good holiday to bring out the beast in you, and there’s nothing like a Christmas party put on the desire to do something wild and crazy! Before you prepare for your next holiday celebration, however, take a second to examine the shape of your car insurance.

> Do you know why car insurance companies hate holidays? Because inevitably, they spend the next two weeks the filing of applications for auto insurance? Nobody likes to spend two weeks drowning in paperwork, which is exactly why insurance companies have their own list of recommendations for the insured when it comes to kicking up their heels during the holidays .

Number One: Place the brewsky and return the keys. Do not drink and drive. It’s trite, it’s a cliché, but it works. Thousands of drivers open a beer (or six) at an evening of holiday before sliding behind the wheel. Hundreds of thousands of people were injured, many fatally, after a race at a party goer too-ambitious. Put the keys or an accident on the couch. It’s good for your checkbook, your conscience and your future. Two: Resist the urge to cram 20 people in a van. number three: Forget About It. number four: Leave the gun at home. Number Five: You’re not a chicken. There’s something about an open road, but all you’ll beg to go out and play chicken, is not there? Forget it. ignored. You do not have enough feathers to be near a chicken, but you’ll certainly feel like you were torn when your car insurance company is with you!

> are supposed to be fun. What they are not supposed to do is break the bank! Your savings and your health will be shaped much better if you follow the rules when you step back during the Christmas season.

The number of claims not win without charge during the recession has risen sharply.

The total amount of claims for compensation has increased considerably while the slowing UK economy has left councils, employers and motorists find it difficult to cover the costs of implementing health and security and simple repairs.

With more motorists failing to carry out technical monitoring and security controls for fear of having to pay the additional repair costs during the crisis, with the increasing number of pothole damage on the roads of Great Britain the previous claims that the number of road accidents will skyrocket proved false.

Figures from the Ministry of Transport (DfT) has revealed that the number of road accidents in the United Kingdom reduced for the year ending March 2009.

According to the figures, the number of road deaths fell by eight per cent of deaths or serious injuries fell by nine per cent.

AA Insurance has welcomed the figures DfT’s.

good numbers fall

new director of AA Insurance, Simon Douglas said: “The accident rate is falling is good news, especially as it continues a trend bearish long term. ”

The manager said he was “not really surprised to see” that the recession has slowed the use of the car.

He said: “This year has seen fuel prices rise with other demands on family budgets, and increasing levels of redundancy, which discourages car use: indeed, the DfT notes that traffic volumes have decreased two per cent over the year. “

However, despite the lower road accidents, he noted that there was a significant increase in injury claims, saying that motorists involved in road accidents are “much more likely to make claims for personal injury.”

The statement came after extensive research revealed that there was an increase of not winning no fee claims made for injuries. This compares to a lower number of road accidents in the United Kingdom.

The figures published by the Association of British Insurers (ABI ) revealed that the number of no win no fee claims for injuries were $ 9.6 billion last year – 8.8 billion more than in 2006.

Douglas said that “those involved in accidents are much more likely to make claims for bodily injury, “even for injuries such as whiplash.

However, accidents at work could explain the majority of hopeless no fee claim made.

accidents

According to a law firm in North East, with over 60 per cent of employees believe their employers are less focused on health and safety work because of the recession by giving them more trouble, “the recession might be having an impact on the number of accidents.”

A spokesman for the firm’s lawyer said: “It is understandable that many companies are now taking steps to reduce costs, but it is vital that safety of workers do is not compromised. “

She added:” The accidents are common, even in an office environment, accidents can and do happen. If you have questions about your rights if you have suffered an injury you should consult a lawyer. “
